For me, ultima VI is my favorite game of all time. also, it has some rough edges, or just features I wish were in the game.

You should be able to sleep in beds (you can in the previous Ultima V).

You should be able to buy land or houses, or rent them, and decorate them. I used the map editor to add in little empty houses on top of some moon stone circle places, and being able to decorate those with all the equipment and quest items, and teleport instnatly to them, improves the game a lot I think.

Managing inventories can be tedious, and I wish there was a "RAID (like for hard dtives) way to just collect items, with custom rules to give them to the appropriate party member automatically (Shamino carries all torches). and in the inventory screen you can easily see all character inventories in a single grid (like the items are RAIDED across all inventories as possible.)

Menu-wise, I wish I had a zelda-style inventory system to see quest items, deeds, monster fought, etc. In a cool visual way.

Also, a better visual way to keep track of discovered keywords, and have a personal journal keeping track of them, and quest progress, so interacting with further NPCs is a bit smoother. I think Morrowind had something similar, but morrowinds system can also be visually oppressive, so I have to find a better way for my ultima VI fan recreation #AgeOfSingularity.

But by far the WORST part of Ultima VI is the shop and sell menus, having to manually sell individual items if you own less than 5 or whatever, and not being able to just tick a bunch of items in a grid and say 'sell all'. It feels like calling an insurance company and having to press the right combo of buttons, just to not screw it up.

Or better yet, also add a courier system that costs money, so wherever you are, you can use a spell to call a delivery person and basically tell them "Hey, take all these shields to Minoc and sell them to John, and bring the gold back." and being able to forage and explore while you wait for him to return.

There are other small gripes I'd adjust for a remake, and I'll eventually gather them up and make a youtube video about it. These are all features I want to be sure to include in my ultima VI fan recreation project, Age Of Singularity.
