I made this Ultima VI progression flow chart for development in my Age Of Singularity Ultima VI fan recreation project. I'm trying to add in everything interesting you can do, creating your own personal quests, too.

I also want to check if you can start the game and go directly to the balloon plans (perhaps because you need telekinesis at Sutek's you need to free enough shrines to get that level of magic?), and also, can you just go directly to Sin'Vraal? Surely you have to get the second tablet first, or else a big chunk of the game would be broken (the piratey stuff.)

Watching Squibbons speedruns of Ultima VI, it seems Sin Vraal is avoidable, but you need to talk to Captain Johne in the caves near the gargoyle world exit to learn Gargish, so you can speak with Draxinusum or Naxatilor to progress. Does this mean the tablet translation is unnecessary? More research is needed.

I also want to get an idea for the MINIMUM criteria to achieve late game stuff. Like can you just start the game and walk over and get the Vortex Cube, or are certain spells necessary?

I also want to note "info locks" where you MUST learn some info from one character to do something with another one. These locks can be secret keywords, or they can be straight-up quest flags in need of setting. "has been taught Gargish by Captain Johne" is an example I'm pretty sure exists.

Here's the original fb UDIC post.
